So I work with this woman who is the service coordinator for the company I work for ( we both work in the service department). She is completely useless and lazy.
If my position is slow, she will find other work for me to do and I am ok with that as I like to keep busy at work. My problem is that she is constantly watching something on her phone with her ear buds in. Like just now, she gets called by my boss and she doesn’t hear him cause she is to involved in what she is watching on her phone. I want more than anything to say something to my boss but I don’t want things to be awkward between us as there are only a few of us in the service department.
I have thought about going to HR but again, don’t want it to be awkward. I have walked into her office a few times and she has been sleeping at her desk.
I will admit, I do look at my phone during the day but not to the extent of putting in ear buds and watching something on my phone for extended periods of time. I am at my wits end. Part of me wants to find a new job but the other part of me says to stick it out as I am paid well, I get along with everyone at the company and I am good at what I do.
What would you guys do in this situation??
