SOMETHING TO TELL THE PEOPLE OF EDMONTON?

Missing Mother 2 Years

My mother has been living on the street by choice for over 2 years now. I have since been pregnant and had my first baby. I miss her so so much and am hoping ANYONE out there knows her or if they see her to tell her that her daughter misses her so much.

ANOTHER POST:  please Help us Locate Santana

To tell her that her daughter just wants a phone call or one coffee visit. I know it is a long shot but you have no idea how much I would appreciate if anyone knew her/saw her to tell her this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    1. Hi Everyone…thanks for all your input. Boyle Street Community Services also has a Street Outreach Team who meet and know a lot of people. Try calling 780-424-4106 and ask for Street Outreach or Sindi or Aidan. They may be able to help☺️

  3. I work for Bissell Centre and we have many programs your mom might be involved in, not to mention we’re in a high-traffic area for the homeless so maybe we will cross paths. I’ll keep an eye out for her downtown but I definitely think posters would be a great idea! Hope you find her. ❤️

  4. My dad is homeless in Edmonton and literally knows
Almost anyone that lives homeless as well. I will ask him when I see him next and reply to this. If you private message me that would be great.

  8. When my late brother was missing I called the shelters, and they advised me that if he chooses to remain gone from our lives due to his choice to live on the street and addiction then it was his choice. They would post a message on the board, but would not or could not tell me if he frequented the place due to CONFIDENTIALITY laws. Etc… didn’t matter if he was choosing to die slowly with his addiction, or that we missed and loved him. A year later, after searching my brother came home to us in a casket. Sadly we will never lose him again like we did for 6 years and we have peace. But don’t bet on them helping you….

    1. I agree with Lorraine. Inner city organizations may be of some assistance. Try Boyle McCauley and bent arrow as well. I hope confidentiality barriers don’t get in your way! Best of luck 🙂

  10. Honestly, she came into my old work about 6 months ago, she seemed ok, but asked for a meal so I gave her my daily meal. I will definitely let the company know in case she goes back. I hope you find her soon. She was a sweet lady.

  12. The suggestions others have made to check homeless resources are great ones to follow up on.

It might also be helpful to set up a group to help disperse your search beyond just this page. I have some experience with that so if you want to send me a PM I could help you get things set up fairly quickly.

  15. The churches in the Old Strathcona area put on Suppers every second Tuesday. The next one is Oct 18th from 6-8pm at Trinity Lutheran 10014-81 Avenue.

It’s possible she could show up there? Maybe make a poster to distribute at the places mentioned in the thread?

  18. Pray for all of you often. I can see about putting her picture back up in the van if you think it would help Jess?

  20. Hey also weac- womens emergency accommodation center may be a place to look. They are currently working out of Elizabeth House. I am sure i recognize her but cant offer more help. Wellsprings is a recovery program for women through hope mission…perhaps she is seeking assistance. My heart goes out to you. G/L love.
